System Requirements

Latency is critical for any arbitrage strategy so it is essential to run SharpTrader platform on HFT VPS for optimal performance.

Minimal VPS specifications:

CPU: 3 cores

RAM: 4GB

Operation system: Windows server  2019 or newer. Mac OS and Linux are not supported.

To maintain optimal performance we recommend not to overload VPS with mt4 and mt5 terminals, remote access applications and other resource consuming software and keep CPU and memory usage under 85%.

Important!!! For stable operation is strongly recommended to reboot VPS (and restart SharpTrader) at least once per week, preferably on weekend before market reopening.

We recommend to select VPS in the same data-center with a slow broker server. Ideally VPS, broker server and fast feed should be in the same location. If it is not possible, then you need to select VPS with the lowest ping to a broker server and a fast feed. If fast feed and broker server are in different locations we recommend to choose VPS closer to fast feed.
