Adding cTrader Session

Unlike most brokers that provide FIX API connection credentials by request, cTrader FIX API connection credentials are available in platform, both web and desktop. You can find them in FIX API section of Advanced Menu options in the platform.

Important points:

We recommend to use Host name rather than IP

For pricing and trading connection better to use 5201 and 5202 non ssl ports.

FIX API password does not match cTrader main account password so it will not connect if you use it. It is essential to reset the default FIX API password before connection using Change password button.

Sometimes changing FIX API password leads to changing host name.

Please note that Account field should be empty. Ctrader accounts can be Netted or Hedged. You can check it in cTrader platform. If you account is Hedged accounts you will need to activate Hedging account checkbox.

In the cTrader FIX bridge symbols are recognized by FIX Symbol ID, not by name, so it is essential to specify a correct symbol ID for each instrument in the Unicum field. You can find FIX ID in the symbol specification tab in cTrader platform.
